| Checking In!! Hello Dmaxers. Been visiting here for about 18 months.
Little intro: Own a restored 1972 K10 with lots of goodies & an '07 LBZ Classic. Absolutely love the diesel pickup. Use to own a 2000 Cummins with a 4" Flowmaster & Banks mild chip with intake. Dmax has a Banks 4" cat-back, Mojave teflon coated rims wrapped with Goodyear Silent Armors (265 x 75 x 16's). The Dmax runs circles around the CTD with fuel mileage about 1-1.5 mpg better with the CTD, all hand calculated, don't have the fancy computer candy. What convinced me to buy the Dmax was my Navy assignments. Recently retired from the Navy & our unit had the '05 & '06 Dmaxes. Towed lots of patrol boats with them as well as other uses. Have to say that these pickups are hard to match. Pulled older Fords & the older 6.2's & 6.5's out of trouble. Hope to hear from folks, excellent forum! I've done a bit of towing with my LBZ & have stories to pass on.
See ya. |
