Thumbs up GMC 3500 LMM Off Road on order:

Howdy guys and gals, the name's Pete. I'm in the process of making an easy switch from Ford D's to a LMM DMAX. Mostly I use my Rig in the mountains of WA. for hunting, fishing and general running around. Plan on eventually towing a 28-30' travel trailer, but for now an 8' Jayco camper does great. Ordered the truck from Dave Smith Motors in Kellogg, Idaho; so far so good. Went GMC mainly because a local dealer turned out to be more like a collector, wanting near full MSRP. Plan to add fuel filters, Line-X, EGT Temp, Diff temp, Amp steps, Fab 4 rear bumper, mud flaps, mats etc. Finding lots of good info on this site, thank you for that. I'll consider a mild re-program, blocking the EG recycle, various exhaust modifications. Nothing too RAD, after all I'm to the age where heated seats are starting to sound pretty good to me.(grin) Look forward to receiving some good input, especially pertaining to exhaust breaks and the LMM.

Talking Rather be out there D'MAX'N!

Anacortes, WA. 48 deg. calm, overcast, and watching the Daytona 500 qualifications. Can't believe it, I'll be there for the race on the 17th. This is a once in a lifetime deal for me..

WEDEMAXN!
Lived out in Anacortes for several months in 2004. Beautiful place. I miss it. Trying to make some time to get back out there for a few day visit. I really loved Deception Pass, Mt. Erie and Washington Park. Can't wait to get back.

Sounds like you've got pretty big plans for the new truck. I had my local dealer find me a new LMM in a GMC a couple of days ago myself. I just went with the 2500HD though, I got crew cab and z71, and got the sle2 package. Im supposed to get it in a couple more days, its been a long week waiting. Good luck with yours

Thumbs up Goose .. Congratulations ... way to go!!

The 2500 may have been the way to go. I hope the Z-71 won't be too harsh for me in the 1T. Yep I'm beginning to realize that maybe I've got more plans than money . I'll just ease into the AM stuff slowly. Keep in touch and let me know how it goes for you
