Questions about an 06 LBZ

Hey all. Im new to the chat room and have found some good information over the past few months, but today I had an issue with my Dmax and wanted some input from others. Because of the long weekend I loaded up the trailer (10,000 lbs) and headed for the beach. It is about 50 miles and completly flat. All went well on the way there but thismorning I started the truck to warm it up before hooking up the trailer to come home and about five minutes later my son came in the traier and said the truck was leaking. When I came out I had a large pool of Trans fluid on the ground and after looking under the truck the skid plate was covered as was the bottom of the motor so I could not find where it was comming from. It's at the dealer now but I wanted to see if anyone had an idea of what I can expect them to find.

Alot of people were having problems with transmission lines leaking on the 06's and up. Due to the high idle control, I dout you are using your high idle in socal though. Did you recently buy the truck?? and if so where is it from??

Just behind the front skid plate, more or less the rear of the engine.

About 80% of all my LBZ customers have had the tranny lines leak, including me. They have them replaced and they leak again. Last I heard GM has them on National back order while they get another manufacture to build new ones.

I sure wish that they would find some that fixed the problem for good. Just had mine replaced today at 36000.
