New guy basic question

Hello everyone, I just joined because I bought an '04 GMC 4500 box truck with allison auto that I plan to use for delivering furniture and I think this forum is great! I am a bit of a diesel nut (furniture maker by trade) and we had a '95 chev 3500 box truck that we used - fueled by vegetable oil- with a 6.5L that finally is just not big enough, plus the engine has been giving me nightmares. I plan to pull a trailer quite a lot and I'm hoping to get some tips from you guys when I am ready to start modifying. My first question may sound a bit "green" but I am curious if the GMC 4500 is exactly the same thing as a Chevy 4500 or if there are more differences than just the decals?

Welcome to the forum!

Hmm I guess you have a 4500 Top Kick truck? The GMC and Chevy are the same exact thing. I have a 94 GMC Top Kick and its the same as a Chevy Kodiak.
