Currently on Ford SD, BUT seriously looking to DM

Hi everybody:

thanks for having me on the DM forum. I am currently on my 3rd Ford truck, currently 2000 F-250 SD V10. Had engine problems on two of the three trucks. Latest on the: V10 a "spitted" spark plug while towing 5th-wheel on I-90, no fun to break down next to 70 MPH semis browsing by

. I am towing a 31 ft 5th-wheel and need more torque, therefor I am looking at a diesel. Ford with a brandnew 6.4 diesel makse me very nervous, hence: here I am looking, hoping to learn anough to make a good decision.

I might be alittle worried about the new 6.4 based on the problems with the six0. I was also be a little worried about the 07 dmaxs with all the emmisions crap.

I agree. The emissons crap sucks but the Duramax is still better than Ford stroker IMO. Both great trucks but you'll be happy.

Take a hard look at the new DuraMax, more power ans more torque. A friend of mine has a '2004 and pulls a heavy year-round 33foor fifth wheel, He just raves about the Duramax and the ease he has pulling his trailer
