New to the Diesel world, with newbie questions (Pics Inside)

Whats up guys, i'm new to the diesel world, i have a bagged s10 and i wanted to keep it and get something thats a little more roomy and better ride. I found this fully loaded 03 duramax crew cab pretty cheap from a buddy that needed some money. I have a few questions, I want to do a small lift 4-6 inches or so, what do you guys reccommend? As far as performance, I have a Bullydog programmer on it, and i have it set on the tow/economy setting. It came with it. I want to do quite a few performance mods. What are the first performance mods you guys would suggest? Thanks for any imput.....

oh, and what size wheels/tires would you guys recommend also???

Thanks!!!

First off, Welcome to the forum! Nice rides.. You may want to look into a set of gauges and an exhaust system for the new Dmax. It will help the exhaust temps and allow you to keep an eye on them. Hope this helps.

Guages, 4" turbo back exhaust, and ditch the bully dog for PPE. You will have one fast truck then. Both rides look awesome.

Welcome to the site!!!

Welcome to the Forum!!

Wow nice lookin rides. Its pretty cool when you have twins!

For the lift. I had a Fabtech on my last truck and was extreamly happy with it. Id go with a 4 inch that way the truck isnt to tall and it still useable for towing. With the 6 it makes the truck to high and hard to use.

For performance. The allison is known to go bad if you add over 90HP over stock so that would be the first thing you'd want to do if you want it to go fast and have killer power. Does your truck have a cat or just a cat back exhaust? If it does removing that will maekt the truck sound better and have moe power.
