just wanna thank you guys for helpin me out with my battery issue. great resource! I don't know how much I can contribute here (bunch of pro's on board) I am happy being a student as i have always enjoyed learning about engines. I basically bought this truck 03, its been upgraded fairly well (program system, intake, exhaust). It makes 17mpg and I hammer the Truck up and down hills alot. Kept really clean and only had 80k when I purchased it. I use it exclusively for driving to baja and mexico in general. Looking to upgrade on the wheel tire situation and potentially get something wider but don't want to adjust ride height.. any advice? I was thinking of an 8inch wide wheel and a more agressive tire..
nice ride....do a set of 20" wheels and some nice tires..

how is a 20 inch wheel gonna do on unpaved roads? I use the truck off paved roads considerably. Was thinking of getting a fairly agressive at tire. I currently have bridgstones dueler. Nice quite tire on paved roads but don't perform nearly as well off the roads.
I think the wheels are 6.5 inches wide and I was thinking about widining out to an 8. Am i gonna have any issues rubbing or bottoming out on the stock suspension?
Also, I believe i am still on stock suspension (shocks, struts, etc), it has always felt good. Just out of curiousity, what's the life span on the suspension of these cars? Any other serious services or things I should investigate with an 90k gmc duramax, tire suggestions?
I would go w/285's and get dem PAW PAW wheels off!!

Dem wheels are definatly paw paw man! i have just been riding them out until i needed new tires. How do 285's fit with the stock ride height? any rubbing? Brand's? I was thinking of trying a bfg tire this time round.
I go285's without bubbing at all stock/no lift..J/K ^^you'll be pleased w/looks but expect a trade off of 1-2 mpg...Mine in the avatar,or peep the garage fer pics..
