Came out of a 99.5 dodge cummins after 16 years. Bought it new. Chevy didn't have anything to compete at the time. Was a great truck. Time to upgrade. Just picked up my new 2016 duramax 3500hd high country. They can certainly compete now. Love the truck! Hesitated buying "government motors" but I guess time heels most wounds.
12,000 miles on my 2016. Just had 3rd oil change and first fuel filter change from the dealer. Checked oil 200 miles after change and it was black. Did they change the oil or is that normal?
Hello. Are you changing oil on your own schedule or by the Evic? If by the Evic, that seems like 1 too many oil changes. As for black oil, if you are not deleted, the oil gets black very quickly because of the exhaust the EGR is putting back into the engine. A deleted truck will have clean looking oil much longer.
