Welcome to the forum, and a good start would be a good 4" exhaust and a tuner.

Let me know if i can help.

Help...hell yes.

Tyler --

I am a sucker for tricks and toys...but does it make a difference in mpg? Power is easy, but I want to be able to drive it to work everyday....it breaks my heart to take the wife's Honda CRV.

How much does a tuner run? Recommendations?

As for the exhaust, I am worried about the install -- since I think that a bad install would eliminate any gains on flow....

Let me know...

Cheers,

Dylan

Welcome to the site!!!

The exhaust install is not bad at all. It is hard to mess it up, because everything is pre-cut and pre-bent.

The price on tuners all depends on what you want. They range from around $300 to $800

Yes they will both help, i would consider a PPE,Quadzilla,Diablosport for the tuner and a 4" mbrp turbo-back exhaust. The PPE tuner is capable of the most power and is guaranteed atleast 2mpg better. The quadzilla is what i run and im very pleased with my results. If want some pricing let me know and ill shoot you a pm with some.

Welcome to the site, The thing about diesels is that the more power you give them the better the mileage gets. I get around 20 and can smoke most cars on the road.

Welcome aboard !!! Its nice to see you got a 2WD as they get much better mpg than the 4wd guys! As these guys have stated, you can get the parts you need to improve your mpg anywhere from 2-6 but, unless you want a new trans, dont add more than 90hp. Thats the limit of the stock Allison. I would also suggest getting a set of gauges if you add a programmer. EGT and Boost are the ones that need monitoring.

I can offer you a package deal on everything you need, or can do piece by piece.
