It's a 2500 crew cab 4x4 Duramax (what are the different letters some of you refer to?) short box, white summit, ebony leather, pretty much loaded. Having 4 inch Rancho lift, 18" ATX Thug wheels, Cooper STT 275/70/18 tires, and 6" tube step added. Letting the dealer keep the 4x4 decals... Accessories guy recommended not removing the door badges due to risk of paint damage. Has anyone tried this?
That means it is a LMM motor. This also means there is all the emission stuff on the truck. I attemted to remove the door badges and i did scratch the paint. If you take it to a cody shop im sure they could do a great job on it.
Make sure you get some pictures up when your truck is all complete.

So the Dmax your buying comes with a lift kit and wheels? Huh I havent seen that around here! Must be a dealer thing! I'd recommend removing the badges I did the door and tailgate moldings on mine. I let it sit outside on a sunny day and they pealed right off! Then you'll have to use a decal remover to get the glue off and make sure to rewax the area the moldings where at. Its usually easy to take them off when the truck is brand new. Some people also use fishing string to help pull the moldings off.

Great forum!
I removed my door badges with just a small tip flathead screwdriver and a hair dryer. I didn't even get close to the paint when I did it. I put my screwdriver behind the emblem and pulled with a light force while heating with hair dryer. Start at a corner and once that corner pulls away it will slowly come off. The newer the better because no residue is left behind. I didn't use any glue remover because it all came off. It actually went smoother than I thought it would.

I feel pretty confident about this particular dealer - it's Dave Smith Motors. They sell more Dodge pickups than any dealer in the world and sell a lot of Chevrolets as well. Their accessories and service division has a great reputation and carries a lot of cool items. I'm having a Rolling Big Power grill put on as well. Should be cool...
I'll get a picture posted when I can. I may end up wanting to black out the chrome on the bumpers as well, will have to see how it looks when I get it.
Thanks for the advice on the badge and molding removal - it's all coming off!
