I am a new member, signed-up yesterday. Love to talk/discuss about my 7.5 GMC C/C LMM duramax. Add-ons: 20" wheel and tires, ready-lift leveling kit, westin nerf bars, S&B cold-air intake system, MBRP filter back exhaust, Hypertech Max Energy programmer (set on Stage 3). Recently purchased ECM from SoCal diesel with DPF delete and 100 hp EFI live tune, will hopefully install ECM and delete pipe next week. This is my 2nd duramax, previous truck was 03 GMC C/C LB7 duramax with many add-ons as well.
To note, the addition of the programmer, intake system, and exhaust did not improve my mileage. Hoping deleting the DPF will increase mileage. Friend in Houston deleted his DPF and picked-up ~ 3-4 MPGs.

I dont know why I didnt look for this forum long ago? I have an 04 extended cab 2500 4x4 Silverado with a Duramax completley stock. It has 51,000 miles on it now. This is the most miles I have run a truck in 8 years.
I had 2 new superdutys and was afraid to run them much past the end of warranty. Prior to that I ran strictly Chevy trucks for over 20 years and overall have found them to be very reliable and trouble free for the 1st 80,000 to 100,000 miles.
I look forward to meeting new people and exchanging ideas here.
Have you installed your EFI Live yet? If so, do you like it better than your Edge programmer.
No I have not gotten it yet.BUT I did buy a laptop!!!YEP,I'M HOOKED .....OH the EDGE SUCKED

My brother-in-law (now x brother-in-law) has gone thru 2 edge programmers due to failure. You would think he would learn his lesson the first time. My Hypertech Max Energy programmer is OK, but looking forward to new ECM with EFI live tune and DPF delete.

Were your prior Chevys gas or diesel? I talked to the diesel tech at the local dealership, he stated duramax designed to last ~ 500,000 miles.
Are planning to do any performance upgrades to your 04 duramax?
