Duramax with a Wrecker

Here's my rig (well, it's loaned out to me, but I spend more time with her than I do my woman):

It's an '07 6.6, stock with just a DJM Suspensions set up in the front. The last of the best generation IMO. It's a lil different now, with a few additions of my own, namely updated company graphics, tinted windows, visors and step bars. I'll post up pics if anyone's interested.

I'm here looking to learn and find out some tips on how to save fuel (I burn about 40-50L a day) and at the same time, if I can go a bit faster...why not?!

If anyone needs a dedicated and honorable towing/roadside professional in the Toronto area, simply call (416) 992-3340

Feel free to point me the way to knowledge. I'm a newbie, so be patent.

Welcome to the DF! Nice looking tow rig you got there. Did the suspension have to be lowered to get into underground parking lots?? Plenty of info here, search or ask.

Thanks! Yup, it's lowered to fit in underground garages. I think the rear suspension needs some work though, as the ride is really HARSH. Like dumptruck harsh.

Welcome to the Forum!

Nice lookin Wrecker!! What type of bed is it? Does it have a Boom?

I own a small towing company. I had 2 6.5 tow trucks and just went to a 99 Ford psd and also have a 94 Kodiak Rollback. I like the chevy and the duramax but the only way Id get one is with 19.5 wheels. IMO they hold alot more weight!

Anyways check the sight for info on helping ya out! Gettinga turbo back exhaust and a small programmer would help you out alot. Anything done to the truck?

Looks like a Miller Ind. wrecker body. with just a wheel lift or grab and go setup cause i don't see the cable reels in the back window.
