Newbe Mulvane Kansas

HI, Im Justin Everhart. I hail from Mulvane Kansas. It's cool that I found this forum! Really been inpressed with my Chevy. With a few mods I've seen better performace and improved milage. My truck is a 2005 Chevy Crew cab 2500 2wd. Rather stock, save the strait pipe K&N and Edge Juice attuide box. Im thinking of upgrading to a AIR DOG fuel system here soon! The truck has been easier to drive. My ford friends dont have much to say, and I really couldn't care! I have three words for them BUY A DURAMAX!! I hope to be talking to you all soon. I have a few questions, so just bare with me! Later!

Thanks! Question. Is there anyway to unlock my speed limiter? Talked to edge and they said no. I saw a company that offered a speed elimiternater. TS Performace I think was the name. Would that work with the edge? Or is it money a head to get another programmer? What you guys think?

Welcome to the site!!!!

Yes you can unlock the speed limiter, but not with edge. You will need to buy a cheap programmer or the TS box that you are talking about will work too. I would go with a cheap programmer though (diablo sport predator or quadzilla would be two good choices), since it's not much more money and is also a code reader and will turn off you egr to block the codes if you do a egr blocker plate.

I had a 1987 2500 GMC. Wish I still had it! Clean old truck! 355 with steel crank and rods, vortec heads and gibson shorty headers.Topped of with a Eldbrock Multi- port conversion. Real runner! But the guy wanted more than I did.

Welcome! PPE will raise your speed limiter. It will go up to 200 if you can go that fast. I have mine at 150. I dont go that fast but I just did.

4X4. Why do you think I sold It! Thank you all for the advise! Whats the parts involved in removing the EGR? Heard something about putting in a spool in place of the EGR. Whats a spool do? Is that Amsoil everything they say? Thanks guys!

Well, you don't actually remove the egr you just have to put a plate in to block the exhaust flow to the egr. PPE used to make a actual kit that removed the egr, but is no longer available because of the EPA. check out this link: This is why you block your EGR and you will see some pics that might be of some intrest to you.

I use amsoil and i am a believer in there products. I didn't really notice any mileage gain in my duramax, but when i swapped my 81 VW i saw about a 3 mpg increase, quieter engine, and a little more power.
