New guy in Destin, FL

I just bought a 2008 Silverado 2500HD 6.6L (LMM). I live in Destin, FL but I'm in the military so I'll be moving within the year. I have a 16 ft. enclosed cargo trailer that was slowly killing my 2000 Silverado 1500 (5.3L). So I'm all for any suggestions as to improvements for my new truck (or things to stay away from too). Thanks.

Welcome to the DF...as for mods it depends on if you want to keep the warranty or not.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm still battling with the idea of voiding the warranty. Does Chevy void the entire warranty or just the warranty on the parts that are altered? I'm not even sure if anyone would really know the answer to that question. Anyways, I'd really like to increase the MPG if at all possible. My days of hauling butt around time left when I sold my last hotrod. : ( Maybe they'll come back again though....

You CANT use a PPE standard to do a DPF delete. And they are only suppose to void the parts affected, but by law they are suppose to only void if the aftermarket parts caused the damage. I also have a LMM and have done the DPF delete. Let me know if i can help you with any questions. If wanting to keep the DPF i would do Banks it produces the least amount of smoke so less regens.

Thanks Tyler
