Cool Howdy from Wyoming

Not new to Duramax, but new to this forum.

I have a new 08 Chevy crew cab 4x4 dually. I love the truck, but would like to put a small lift and larger tires on it to gain some height. It came with 225/75/17 tires stock. I like the wheels and for money reasons would like to keep them for now if I could. If anyone could give me any advice it would be appreciated as I have heard different stories from a lot of people about lifting dually's.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I have an 05 chevy dually and it has 235/85/16 tires on it and it looks great. I don't really want to lift the 08 too much, I just want a little bigger tires on it because the stock 225/70/17 look so small. I just want to find out what size tires I can put on the 08.

Thanks for the help.

welcome to DF. i've heard people able to run 265s with no problem. i know a buddy that has 285s but they rubbed and i think he just tweaked the torsion bar. i'm sure you'll find the info your looking for on this site.
