Question Power Steering Fluid

So, got the oil changed in my truck the other day and Skippy at Valvoline says my PS fluid is pretty dirty and recommended a flush. So.....I know the PS pump works with the hydro boost, so do I need to flush both systems? Also, thinking I might want the dealer or someone more familiar with diesels do this, no the grease monkeys at the oil change hut. Drive my truck a lot and don't want them screwing it up. They do a good job changing the oil and greasing the chassis, but that's about all I trust them with.

There is a good write up on this in DIY section. Hydro boost flush takes 15 mins tops.

I did the Hydro-Boost flush this weekend and was surprised how simple & easy it is. It took 10 or 12 minutes, seriously. A clear one gallon plastic bottle is better than an oil pan as you just put the cap on & take it to your autoparts store to recycle. My guy at AutoZone actually gave me the five foot section of 3/8" hose.

Search for the post by Hook'em_Horns! in the How To's, DIY and Write ups section.

Find the link for the flush…it is to easy to do and will save you a lot of cash. The less time so called mechanics or grease monkeys get close to my truck the better it runs.
