This element also traps and holds up to 2x more particles than cellulose. AMSOIL uses a HD filter base, a long life HNBR filter gasket and some other things that they are just not going to share even with their dealers. Because of the way is it manufactured it is good for up to 25k miles or 1 year on a Duramax and many other large vehicles. For smaller cars and some trucks, the filter is good for up to 15k miles or 1 year.

The link above gives you some more information and shows you a picture of a filter broken down. Let me know if you have any other questions.
How would you compare that amsoil filter to the ac delco??
I'm not to sure what kind of element ac delco uses, and how much Microns it is.

The AMSOIL EaO Oil filter is going to be a better filter. If you take a look at the link here, the AMSOIL oil filter has a higher filter rating over an AC Delco. Also the EaO has less restriction over other filters because of the synthetic nanofiber filter material.

The AC Delco filter is a 43 micron filter and as Willie says above the EAO is 20 microns. GM says that the AC Delco is good enough for the Dmax but its not good enough for my Dmax. I run the Amsoil EAO and the synthetic diesel oil for 15k mile oil changes.

For anybody wanting better filtration for their Dmax when you buy our Dmax Maint package you can upgrade your oil filter to the Amsoil for 6.95 more. Just use the drop down menu to customize your maint package for your needs.

Sorry for the hijack on the thread, but where do the Baldwin filters fit in all this? Better or worse than the AC Delco?
