| High Iron Content in Oil Analysis Good day! I just got back my oil analysis from Blackstone labs. Most everything looks good. No coolant in the oil! Or fuel... But there was a higher than average iron content. Any thoughts on why that might be? The report is below.

| Looks like this is your first oil analysis, so don't get worried yet. What kind of oil? You did not add any oil in 6000 miles? What kind of filtration on the oil? Guess they did not run the TBN ?? Wonder why you did the UOA at 62,000 miles? Normally you look for trends, so you will need a couple of reports to develop a trend.

| Mobil delvac 1300 super. Nope, didn't add any in that time. I waited a little too long on that change I think. I had a Mobil filter on it. This just happens to be my first uoa. I look forward to seeing trends. I am also running opti lube, if that could make a difference. Anyway, this oil analysis is a cool service!

| Although it up a bit, it's not that high. Sample a little earlier next time to see if it's lower.

| It isn't abnormally high, I would just monitor it in about another 5-6k to see where it is at. I would ask Blackstone to run a TBN test next time as well to see how the additives are holding up.
