When my truck was new I changed the oil for the 1st time around 600-1000 miles.
Only use a CJ-4 engine oil.
Id suggested for engine oil: Mobil Delvac Super 1300 15W-40, Delo 400 LE 15W-40, or Rotella T 15W-40. Walmart sells them in 1 gal jugs for $10-$13 each, & in quart sizes as well.

Oil filter: AC Delco (PF 2232) or Mobil 1 (M1-303).

Glad to see you got some solid recommendations, Lbajo1.

You probably are already aware of the following, but for what it's worth: Engine oils with the letters CJ-4 are required for your vehicle. The CJ-4 designation can appear either alone or in combination with other American Petroleum Institute (API) designations, such as API CJ-4/SL. Viscosity wise, SAE 15W-40 is best for the vehicle. When it is very cold, below −18C (0F), use SAE 5W-40 to improve cold starting.

All the best,
Sarah (Assisting Kelly)
