Purolator P55464 Question

Hey guys,

Is the Purolator P55464 an equivalent to the Racor PFF5544 (now PFF50216)? Or is it the same as the WIX 33960?

I'm asking because ive spent all morning trying to find a NON-wix fuel filter for my truck... i've tried 4 places, all only sell the terrible 33960 by Wix. This fifth place only sells the Purolator. I want to make sure i'm not about to buy a repackaged Wix 33960. For those of you that don't know, there is speculation that the Wix 33960 fails under pressure, causing premature FPR wear and I've heard stories of injector failure too. So i'm not risking it.

Anyone know if this Purolator P55464 is decent?

Thanks in advance.

Side Note: the store is far... if it was close id just go take a look for myself... and wouldn't have made this thread. I also searched the forum for the filter before I made the thread... found nothing that helped. Had to write a disclaimer to ask a simple maintenance question

I wouldnt use it. Why not just order the Racor/AC Delco online? We could have them to you in 2-3 business days.

No. The current Racor (PFF50216) is a 4 micron.

What info and for which Racor? The one we carry is the latest model, you are probably looking at old filters.
