And, finally, would you buy a used truck from King? I saw the '11 Chevy in the lot this past weekend and it really looked rough! There's most likely a story behind that one!

If you were in the market, what would you be looking for? If close to making a decision, who would you recommend doing a drive-line inspection?

Sorry for the "book", but based on the pictures of your truck, you seemed like a good person to ask!

Thanks! Hope to hear back from you!

Oh, and, have a Happy Thanksgiving!

    Jim

4 - I live (Golden) within a short driving distance of three known shops. (ATS, 5 R, and Diesel Day Dreams) Funny thing is that when one goes in to talk to these guys, getting information regarding their own pricing has been tough! I waited over a month for the guys at Diesel Day Dreams to get back to me about a leveling kit. By the time they got back, I'd already installed my new tires and found that on my truck the 285's fit very well and having a 2" spacer between my rear wheels allowed for the look I was going for. (The point is that I was ready to work with them and they just didn't get back to me. In some fairness, it was still race season and both times that I actually got to talk to Wade, he was great tow work with.) Maybe a growing pain for a shop getting up and running…….

All this to ask, when you need help outside help, who(m) do you use? Does King do custom work? Can you recommend another shop?

3 - I'm torn about going with the dually again. I LOVE how they tow. My last two pulled my trailer straight ahead and I never felt like the trailer was pushing me around curves. However, I hardly ever pull my trailer. So about 98% of the time, I have nothing behind my truck! Other than the sweet looks of a dually, with the limited towing I'm doing, what is your opinion on just going with a 2500 SRW? Is there "that" much difference between a 2500 SRW and 3500 SRW?

    Hi!

I was wondering if you are still up at King? I'm going to be looking for a replacement truck in the next few weeks and would like to get you opinion, if you don't mind.

BTW: We initially met, via email, a couple years back through this site.

Anyway, my 2002 GMC 3500 Dually was stolen a few weeks ago. When insurance finally decides how they're going to handle this, I'll be looking for a replacement.

I'm pretty sure of a few things regarding the replacement of my truck:

1 - I want to stay with the GM product. I really liked my Duramax

2 - The 2006-2007 LBZ seems to be a really good engine and with the six speed Allison, appears to be a good combination.
