Hi,
My 05 LLY shows EGR errors in the computer. Dealer wants to replace EGR valve, I would prefer blocking/deleting it as the truck often bogs down in high temp and/or load situations (loss of power, RPMs limited to 1500-1800 range, often followed by big clouds of black smoke). No mods yet other than Edge Juice (which I like as it does improve my mileage).
Your site lists both an EGR cap and a blocker plate, and of course the delete tube. I'm a bit lost on what goes with what - if I use the blocker plate, do I still use the cap and would that prevent the oil accumulation that can occur with the blocker plate? Or does the cap do the same thing as the blocker plate, just in a different place? How difficult are they to install for the uninitiated?
If I go with the delete tube, it does mention to use the cap - again, how difficult/how long to install this combo? Any advantage over the cap/plate alone option aside from space savings?
Thx,
Frank
