Hey man I read your sticky in the DIY section and I was trying to look up the service bulletin you quoted and my guy at GM says the number is no good. Any ideas if it could be under a different number?

"07- = Dex III or GM Manual Transmission/Transfer Case Fluid 88861800 (88861801 Canada) as per "GM Document ID #1897292".
07.5+ = Dex VI Automatic Transmission Fluid
From the factory, these t-cases come filled with automatic transmission fluid. Due to licensing changes around 2006 regarding Dexron III, GM released a service bulletin (Document ID #1897292) recommending the use of manual transmission fluid, in place of Dex III. This manual transmission fluid is: GM Manual Transmission/Transfer Case Fluid 88861800 (88861801 Canada). "

It looks like you know your stuff on the LB7 and its main issues. I bought an 02 and drove it 3000 miles and changed the oil, it had 5-6 quarts too much in it! (The last oil change was filled correctly) Will this definitely be an injector issue or could it be something else? Is there a way to test to find out it if it is the injectors without taking the valve covers off?

Also, when I use the tow option, a ton of fluid comes out the right side, spraying the running boards and burning on the exhaust. It doesn't do this when I turn the tow off.

    Thanks,

    She's been a while.

She's warming up. Been -25 around here for the past couple weeks.

Truck looks slick! It did before, but now I get it rides a bit nicer.

I imagine you and Cayenne have been at it everyday!

    Glad to be back.
