the switch is for switching your different tunes. i have 5 different ones.
1k for efi is for the v2, switch, and custom tuning. if you are not going to write you own tunes you dont need a v2. You dont need a v2. you can get a auto cal for 650. and auto cal is so you can load tunes yourself at home. your tuner can email you tunes and you load the on your auto cal and load them in your truck. you can also read trouble codes and data log with it. this is what i would get if i were you. the cheapest is the pretuned ecm and that is what i have. you can also get a pre tuned ecm and upgrade to a auto cal later also.

If you have more ? let me know.

    Hey man,
i got my tuning from atptrucks.com. i got a pretuned ecm with a dsp5 locking switch. the pretuned ecm was 300.00 and the locking switch was 65.00. also add a core charge to that for 345.00. once you return your stock ecm in good working order they refund you the 345.00. So it ended up costing me 365 for the tuning and switch. you can get a regular switch for 45$. if you want a pretuned ecm you need to call them and order. it is not on there web sight. i also installed the egr blocker plate at the same time.( you need to tell them you are blocking the egr so the can fix it in the tuning so it wont throw a code)
i would do some reading about up pipes before you dive in. i am not at that point yet so not sure about those.
i am going to be buying a downpipe soon. the new magnaflow or pro fab dp.
