Well like most Nebraskans you are short on geography knowledge since you can't see over the corn
. If you would look up Bend you would find it's on the east side of the mountains and very dry. We are actually on the edge of the high desert and get very little rainfall. You get about 300 days of sun shine a year and can ski and play golf the same day. Very few ticks and no chiggers. I admit the Cornhuskers use to be a good team, but have hit on hard times. Probably midpack in their conference and would be the same or close to the bottom in the pac 10 as well. I like how the state turns out to support them, but it's the only game in town so to speak. I did get a kick out of going to Elwood's 8 man football team games, they were undefeated until we left but I heard they got bumbed off in the state playoffs.
