| Hey Ya'll. My name is Rob and hense duramax-rob. I'm 55 and a retired bodyman living in Elizabeth Arkansas and West Plains Missouri (where wonderful girl friend lives). I drive a 2001 CC long bed dually and best thing I ever did. Owned for 7 months and almost bought a F**D diesel cause of the 7.3. MAN, am I glad I didn't. I had worked on GM's most of my life with a 10 year stent on Dodges. Bottom on my list of vehicles along with Yugo's.
My truck is bright RED cause my girlfriend just LUV's red. I have the Hypertec programmer and WOW, I just want to find 5.0 mustangs and pull up to them at the stop light and race. Two problems with that, getting too old and no stop lights in my town. What a bummer. Hopeing to get a mbrp exhaust and a pyro meter real soon. Fixed income sucks, but now I have the time to think about what I want, and want to do. I pull a 32 foot 5th wheel and go camping a fishing a lot and that duramax doesn't even breath hard. What a truck. I also drive 500 miles a week to see my MOM which my Chevy rides fantastic, but have to add weight to keep tem duallys on the ground. Again, GM is BEST OF SHOW!!!!
This forum is the greatest. Thanks to everyone!!!!! Always be happy, the alternative sucks!!!

| What's up everybody?
I'm Jeff. 38yrs old. I am a Chief Warrant Officer in the Army and fly Blackhawk helicopters. 20yrs this week.
(FLYARMY) I am an instructor pilot and a test pilot.
My wife picked up my '08 MAX in Jan., but I haven't even seen it yet. (Iraq) Right now I really just have the time to breeze thru every now and then, but I have learned a lot in the past month and looking forward to being more active here when I get home.(stationed in Savannah, GA but call Enterprise, AL home)
Wife dropped the truck off at tha shop yesterday for the first round of goodies. Line-X, Reese 5th wheel, pro-comp 17x9 wheels with 33's, and firestone airbags.
The to-do list for my return this summer: BD manifold, Quad stealth (see ya DPF), turbo back Exhaust, and probably edge insight for the gauges. I really want the ATS co-pilot, but I need to find someone around GA or AL to do it. Not sure if I want to tacklethat one myself.
P.S. I wnder how this thing would run on JP-8 (jet fuel) It is diesel. |

| Well...my turn. I just got my first diesel a couple of months ago. Second hand from father-in-law. I HAVE DEFINITELY FOUND THE NEW LOVE OF MY LIFE!!!!
I am surely addicted now. I just dropped in an Edge Juice ejc1000 a week ago, and then took my wife for a ride :-) She then told me that if I got a speeding ticket, she would call her Dad to come take the chip out :-(
Anyway---I'm 37, live in Lafayette, LA, Quality Manager; CAD drafter; I.T. Support; Inside Sales (just to name a few) for oilfield manufacturing facility here.
Favorite Past Time: I'm the "pit-man" for my son's racing kart. Acadiana Speedway He's in his second year racing, and we have the greatest time together.
I'm looking forward to growing old with my wife...in my Duramax!

if your doing the Quad Stealth do the Commander for gauges plus you can adjust the Stealth on the fly with the Commander and have more options then the Edge..

| About me OK, I've heard all I need to about being the "old guy" on here. My name is Joe. I'm 70 years old and waiting for my third great grand child. I retired from a Sheriff's Office in Kentucky, came to Virginia, worked at the NRA for five years, and went to work for a Sheriff's Office in VA. I am now retired from there. My handle came from the name I use when shooting in the "Cowboy" matches. My travel trailer kept getting bigger, so I kept getting a biggger truck. That's how I ended up with my Duramax which is in the shop because a tuner messed up my PCM. In the meantime I am playing in my other passion.
