sensor problem w/K&N intake

I just bought a '07 4500 Topkick, 6.6L. It's got a K&N intake on it. The original upgrader did a poor job of placing the mass air flow sensor (basically using dum dum to hold it in place), and it threw the code for a bad sensor.

We redid the sensor attachment, and repalced the sensor, but it still throws a code...any ideas??

Thanks!!

Has the filter been oiled lately. Sounds like it may have too much oil on it. IMO i would try to find a stock intake and back on it and ditch the K&N they have been known to cause a lot of problems.

Agreed with BRC, or replace with a non K&N filter.

Stock filter would be a good way to start to find your problem. But oiled filters, if maintained properly, not overoiled, and you actually pay attention and service your truck...will be fine to use.
