straight from our FAQ section that i did.

Do I really need a 5” exhaust?

Technically no. The biggest reason people choose a 5" system over a 4" is for sound. While both kits will lower egts and gain fuel mileage, the 5" system will cause you to loose a little bottom end torque. However, one of the trucks that will benefit from a 5" kit is the new 04.5+ Dodges. Because these trucks not only already come with a 4" system but also produce so much torque at the lower end they will usually see the best results from a 5" kit.

The biggest reason i initially got the MBRP was everyone said they droned the least going down the road. Compared to a magnaflow on a friends 06 there is no drone.

I ran flowmaster in my jeep, that i beat the snot out of, and the flowmaster rusted out in1.5 yrs. This left a bad taste in my mouth with flowmaster. Another reason i recommend stainless.

I had flowmaster on a few of my vehicles, they are terrible for rusting out. BUT, they did sound good!

Stainless is always the better option.
