If you take care of your truck.....keep an eye on the filter...and don't over oil it.....you won't have any problems. There are some people who say since aftermarket allows more flow, that they don't filter as well as the stock AC delco. But if you go aftermarket......I personally wouldn't worry about an oiled as long as you take care of it. Dry isn't bad either....it's just not for me. Another thing to keep in mind....don't expect miracles when buy a cold air intake..

Ive had my truck for about 6 months, its bone stock and driving me crazy. eventualy I want 500 hp to play with. Dealer tells me I need to wait 3 years 36000 miles before I do that due to warrenty. looking for somthing to tide me over till then I think thats going to be Banks ram air. any Ideas out their?

Well....intake can void your warranty too. If you have an issue, and the dealer can somehow blame the problem on anything you add to your truck....you're screwed. On top of that, you have a 100,000 mile powertrain.....so if you are worried about warranty...I would wait until that is over.

Hmm IMO banks is ok but overpriced. I put AFE on my dmax and like it. Then I put a S&B on my powerstroke and Im really impressed with it! Nice product and defiantly best bang for your buck id say! I agree with n0use and be carefull oiling it then you'll be ok.

Just do your mods and keep your stock parts so you can return it to stock for warranty work. It's gonna be a pain but if your that excited about mods then it's an option...

I bought a intake for mine. Works great!!!
I bought it from a guy that has a store on ebay. I looked it up for yours and he has them in stock at a great price:
eBay Motors: AFE INTAKE SYSTEM - 07.5-08 CHEVY/GMC 6.6L DIESEL (item 230297740870 end time Nov-01-08 19:55:07 PDT)
The filters are dry. I would recommend dry filters over oiled ones any day. (been there, done that)
