I Just installed a new 5 inch exaust turbo back no muffler no cat sounds great but now I have the engine light on and Egr is the code. and its loss of power (only when the light is on ) when the light is off it runns great 22MPG!! no tuner yet just stock settings
Do I need a tuner
I replaced the Egr no change (lights back)
Any Ideas would certainly help

Sound like just throwing the egr code there are a couple tuners that will clear the Cel associated with the turbo-back exhaust.

The PPE does block egr codes also the quadzilla, and ATS.

What year truck is it. You should see no performance difference with or without the EGR code. But like Tyler said there are some tuners that will block the code from coming back.

Stock 2005 GMC Sierra 4x4 Crew straight 5" pipe nothing special toolboxes and lots of tools 22MPG highway 18 all day miami traffic or pulling 12' box trailer loaded with tools
Well I dont drive Fast 75 tops just steady
Tops I hit 75mph and i'm getting about 16mpg's highway. If I use ULSD I get 14-15mpg's highway/street. USD a little better. Man its upsetting me too. I want 22mpg's!!!
