hey does anyone know if you put on a DPF delete kit if it does anything to the computer? does it toss out any codes or anything?
If the dpf is deleted with no programmer, the truck will not make it very far until the computer puts it in limp mode and you will get the CEL light on and trouble codes will be in the computer. A programmer that has the dpf delete option is mandatory. Outside of custom tuning, the best programmer for that is the Edge Evolution Race programmer. It is the one i use and i have been pleased with it. It has good and smooth power and the transmission shifts very well. The only other ones i know of that have a dpf delete option are the PPE Hot+2 and the Quadzilla Stealth 2. The Evo also disables the EGR valve from opening and recirculateing exhaust gasses back through the motor. It has the capability to pull and delete most trouble codes and will prevent the CEL light from coming on due to deleteing the dpf and the programmer also has built in guages that show many perameters in a digital lay out.

If you delete the DPF, you will need the proper programmer to keep the check engine light from coming on and to get rid of regeneration mode. We have several different kits on our site, let me know if I can help with anything.
So the Edge takes care of everything? Is the Edge Race Evo the same chip they made a couple of years ago... the edge with attitude. I really like that chip!
If the chip removes the Dpf, does this automatically void your warranty?

It can void your warranty, but that really depends on the dealer. And the only warranty they can void is the powertrain warranty if they do, so you can still get the common maintenance items repaired.
The EVO race looks just like the Attitude monitor, has the same functionality, plus some. We have dozens of packages, let me know if I can help.

No need to bitch you out... The turbo dp back straight pipe deletes the entire exhaust under the truck, including the DPF and the Cat. You need a programmer to take care of the engine light too. You don't need to get EFI to delete the DPF - Edge, Quadzilla and PPE all make DPF delete programmers that work too.
We ship to Canada all the time, let me know if I can work you up a deal.
