it impresses me..considering all we can do is 550...and we cheat with lift pumps just to get that far

No one has answered his quesion yet. 700 hp is possible on a stock bottom end but not for long. It could last for 2 weeks or it could last 10 minutes. You can kill mustangs with 520ish hp. Which is a tranny, efi live, lift pump, and exaust. So say 6G and you have it. You could run high 12's like that. You want more then you are talking a bigger turbo and more fuel. 650hp can cost you up to 11,000 700 can cost you 25000 or more.

I think you would be plenty suprised what a stock block, turbo, injectors, built tranny lift, lift pump, EFI Live and a sold front end would give you.

If you can get it reflashed to an LBZ and get EFI Live and you will be in the Low to mid 500 range and you will toy with my micro machine cars all day long.

the record for a stock turbo'd and stock LB7 engine is low 11's and if i'm not mistaken Buck hit 10's on a stock turbo'd LB7 with a rather SMALL(sarcasmn injected)shot of nos..
there are a few 600+HP Duramaxs on stock internals but some dont live even at 550HP so there us a risk no matter how you look at it..my suggestion is start with the basics and slowly add to it..i have never seen a guy buy a diesel and build a 700HP monster in one season(unless he is a diesel builder to begine with),Rome wasnt built in a day.

this is what i would do and i plan on doing with a LB7.
Tuning=EFILive with a DSP5 swithch,keep it to 100RWHP and lower on the stock tranny but for me i would do a max effort tune also since the lower gears will handle alot of HP even when its completely stock.
Fuel=lift pumps,i would do the AirDogII.
Suspension mods=IFS upgrade,better shocks and traction bars
Tranny=Stage 4 SunCoast,pump rub kit,transfer case brace
suspension
Cooling Mods=intake horn mod,BD manifold,full exhaust,bigger downpipe,bigger manifolds and uppipes
after you max out the performance on the stock turbo add a bigger turbo and after you reach the max of the oem CP3 injection pump add the dual CP3 kit then your ready for a engine build..with a stock CP3 and a bigger turbo,like a 68MM 590-630HP(depending on tuner)is very possible and is fairly safe depending on the driver!
