PPE Airbox mod worth it?

Has anyone actually modified the airbox via PPE directions and verified WITH an EGT gauge a drop in temperatures?

I don't know about egt's but I can say it made my 1/4 mile just over a half second faster

I would do it but it sure as hell won't drop a 1/2 sec. Maybe a tenth.

what does PPE say to do? is this with a stock intake? got a link to instructions?

Lifetime LED headlights, all on mod, H2 wheels, ride-rite air bags, bed liner,

For the 20 minutes it takes it's worth it.Worst case is you see no difference.Don't count on the .5 E.T drop Though lol

Haha, i'll give it a go, this truck is sooo much fun with a built trans + bigger tunes! I hear some mpi twins calling my name.

Idk, I did it at the track in the pits between runs. It went from 15.46 to 14.98-15.11

2002 LB7 CC/SB 2500HD 4x4. 202,000+ miles. 20% over industrial injection injectors.EfiLive-duramaxtuner.com. Airdog II 165. PPE Stage 5 Allison. Kryptonite HD tierods. Banks Monster Duals w/ muffler delete. Bill's custom intake. PPE Boost valve. Bill's custom intakes turbo horn. AMSOIL front-back w/ dual remote bypass.

I keep getting the damn P0101 code since i did the air box mod

Current - 2008 2500HD CCSB LTZ 4x4 LMM, Blue granite metallic and de-badged. AFE momentum HD intake, XDP intake grid heater delete, ported fuel rail fitting, FASS Titanium 150 lift pump, Transgo Jr, 3" MBRP down pipe into 5" MBRP turbo back straight pipe into 7" MBRP Single stack, EGR blocker plate, Edge insight CTS with EGT probe, 3" lowering shackles and torsion bolts removed, EFI live DSP5 by Kory Willis.

SOLD - 2005 2500HD CCSB LS 4x4 LLY, Black and de-badged. K&N Drop in, 6" Zone lift, 37x13.5 Mickey Thompson Baja Claws, 5" MBRP turbo back into a single 8" stack, Edge Evo CTS, All around Alpine System, EGR Block and finger stick, pcv reroute, res plugged. AFE Mouthpiece. FPRV shim kit.
