EFI live is the ultimate tuning tool, just because it can do EVERYTHING, but you have to find tunes or make your own...it's not a plug and play app.
Other than that, it all depends on the way that you drive, and how patient, lazy, etc.... you are. Each tuner has it's ups and downs, and you need to find out which one suits you best for your driving habits.
EFI live, complicated, but works great.
PPE, de-fuels, Good MPG and guaranteed, Good Power, re-programs computer, need to pull fuses and stop truck to change HP.
Diablo, MPG not guaranteed, a lot say it shifts rough, good power, need to stop truck to change HP...best bang for 300.00.
EDGE, lots o' smoke, digital guages, some safeguards, good power, piggyback system that lets you change power by pressing a button up or down...and I think a turbo timer?
Banks, de-fuels, PDA controls system and runs the guages, a lot of safeguards, good power on SL setting, MPG is eh, piggyback system, lets you change power by pressing button, Basically No Smoke, 2 year warranty
Quadzilla, not sure about them, but never heard anything bad.
Bully Dog PMT, MPG I don't know, but never heard anything great, decent power, change power on the fly, piggyback system, digital guages, no safeguards. Most people on here who had Bully Dog changed to something different.
So in the end, if you are looking for MPG and power without changing it a lot, EFI live or PPE.
If you are looking for on-the-fly power and safeguards, EDGE, Banks, Quadzilla
I know this is long, but I would recommend calling each company and asking what their specialties are, and then compare them to how you drive.

I think it has been summed up pretty well by n0useforaname. I wish I had dug into things a little more before I picked up my first tuner. I got the Banks 6-Gun first. It does pretty good for power, and made a nice difference on my mileage. Then as I put bigger tires on I realized my 6-Gun wont fix my speedo. So I picked up the Diablosport for the speedo correction. After having played around with both of them now, I find that I wish I had spent the money on EFI or PPE at the start. I have no real problems with either of these, I just want the availability for more power. As for how they compare to each other, I think the Banks makes a little more power that the Diablosport, and has a mpg advantage. But it cost quite a bit more for that very little difference in power.

i added a Poll here so go ahead and vote and also would you guys like to have multiple choices or should i have one choice per person..
i didn't add EFILive for the reason that its a tuning tool not a programmer.
PPE is number 1 IMO next to EFILive.

I had to vote for the Diablo, that is the one I wanted, but my local speed shop had a STUPORCHIP,and I thought the world would end if I didn't get a prog. that day...It isn't all that bad though, cause it really is safe for stock tranny..And it raised my mpg a bit[2-3 mpg,give/take a bit..But the Diablo is pretty good deal for the price IMO...
