| Inexpensive Tuner???
i have a stock 03 LB7 chevy duramax.
i want to start using a tuner so i can increase my fuel economy (currently getting 17-18 mpg). i have read enough spec reports on tuners that they all kinda blur together and make alot of the same claims.
what is the best tuner with an economy mode that won't require a bunch of other mods (exhaust, air intake, guages...) that is also relatively inexpensive. the less expensive the tuner the quicker the return in fuel savings ($$$).
all opinions welcomed,

| Good bang fer buck!!
I have a Superchip tuner,new,only 300 bucks!!The hottest tune on it is 87.5 hp,so,you don't have to worry much.  I have tried to kill my trans,  but cannot do it with this programmer,safe,and pretty cheap IMO...I picked some mpg after tuner and straight piping it!!

| Ya the super chips and Hypertech programmer are bothe pretty cheap. The 45HP tunes are good and the 90hp tune recommendes adding gauges especially if you tow in the setting.

| Let me know if i can help you, the ones that come to mind under $400 are superchips,hypertech,Predator, and i might of forgot one or two, but if want some exact pricing let me know. I think you would be most happy with predator.

| PPE or Diablo. The PPE economy is pretty good. The drawback to it is if you want more power in the future you cant sent in to get reprogrammed. Standard and up are able to. Ask around the forum they'll give you a good deal.
