Ats Vs. Ppe

So I know there has been a post or two already about this, but I just wanted to see if anyone really knows for sure. The ATS Epower has identical numbers to the older version of the PPE HOT+2. below are the number so everyone know exactly what I'm talking about. The thing is, is that a vendor tried to tell me that ATS uses their own tunes, I find it extremely hard to believe being that the HP and torque numbers are identical on all 10 tunes. One helluva coincidence or vendor just trying to make more $ on the PPE? Vendor also claimed that the ATS' higher HP tunes were not reasonably drivable and only used for dyno/sled pull. Please help

I know ATS uses PPE hardware but not completely sure if they make changes to the tuning.

I to was looking at the same thing and wondering. The pictures of the programmers look the same also. Big difference in price.

I just got this back from Bryan at ATS:

This is what I sent and this is what he replied.

I see you have the edge readout. Is your programmer the same as an adge? It looks like the ppe with the +2 hot.

Our programer is not like an Edge. It is a downloader that flashes the ECM...It does not work in line like the edge does. Our programmer is PPE hardware with the ATS tuning.

I'm having a hard time following you here. I thought we were comparing the ATS Epower vs. the PPE hot+2, not the edge. I'm probably just being ignorant here so please dont take offense and just help me see what you are talking about. The edge is an entirely different style product so its not fair to compare those two anyway IMHO.

No the edge adds timing even on level 0. I would unhook edge completely.
