Okay i had the bully dog before. I got my ppe today and when it tries to unlock the PCM it just freezes up and i waited twice for 10mins. Called ppe they said that i may have to have my PCM reflashed. Do ya'll know anyway around this? If not how much is that gonna cost?

How far does it get before it freezes? Mine never did do that, but my cousins LBZ did and we just kept trying over and over and it finally loaded on the 3rd try. Ever since then it's been fine. If you do have to get the PCM flashed it will probably be around $75.

As soon as i would select download engine tune. It would say collecting Vin # from PCM to verify or something to that extent and then it would just stick there. Your cousin's LBZ do something like that?

Yeah, his would just sit there on the screen where it was updating the stock info and never go on to load it. We just kept trying over and it finally took it.

just tried it 3 more times and nothing again. i am ready to rock and roll with the PPE. I guess i will have to call the dealership tomorrow and get it flashed. What is my reason for flashing it though? i can't say it won't take my aftermarket programmer. any suggestions?

I did and it still won't work. The man at PPE stepped me through each step. I just have to get the PCM reflashed.

x2 on the fuses, also were all the doors shut and the radio off? you might have to get it reflashed b/c the PPE can't read the older flash that is in your truck.

okay got PCM reflashed this morning tried loading again fuses out, windows down, radio off, didn't hit any buttons, key turned two clicks still nothing. WTF
