just started pulling this summer and my daily truck cure loves to rip down the track with a sled on the back! =) so addicting anyway what you guys think of my truck breaking the hitch?
Here it what the result looks like borrowed my buddies who runs an 08 cummins and hold up for his truck. i dropped the sled in 2nd place but got DQ'ed cause of the hitch. only needed another 2.5 feet to take first! im thinking she woulda pulled another 2 ft and some change.
same bolts and washers that hold a normal pinnacle or whatever hitch you want on the plate. problem was it was slotted down the channel so it was adjustable but ripped the steel at the bottom where it wasnt torched out.
Yessir I don't really understand it either but she is starting to slip in 5th and 6th. but as far as pulling in the first three, and the torque converter are good to go!
Heres what I came up with to try to get the hitch as close to the back of the truck as possible while still making it adjustable. It has been working great so far just need to throw a coat of paint on her.
The new hitch looks nice and beefy, hope this one holds up for ya
