So I'm on my way to work this morning and I pull up behind a nice looking, special edition powerstroke. As soon as I pull up behind him he rolls some smoke. So Thinking he wants to play I stay with him, and we exit to another freeway (tow haul is on) , and I put the hammer down, so did he!!!! Remember he is in front of me, I get up to his passenger window and roll mine down so he can see me, as I run into traffic I slow down and he never even looked at me but I still don't think he's let outta the throttle yet.
I honestly thought that I was fixing to get my ass spanked. I heard those 6.4's are fast. I know he had exhaust and he was rolling smoke so I'm sure he had a chip, but I sure did catch him quick!
My Evo Race is on level 4. I ruined that poor guys day, I know he is gonna be at work thinking, how did something that big catch me so fast?!?!?!?

congrats! thats the kind of stuff i like to hear!
i do know the 6.4s can be fast but a well tuned Duramax can handle just about anything out there that i know of!

ive heard their fast as well. i drove one stock on a dealer lot and it was slow as all hell worse then mine stock but i would like to see what one really can do tuned and set up right

6.4's do mid 12's on intake exhaust and tune, they do run very well.
i doubt it would roll smoke with a banks unit....good to hear they're fast though maybe ford is getting their stuff together. they don't need a trans to run 12's?

Before I bought my truck I went and test drove a Ford with the 6.4 and the Cummins with the 6.7 or whatever the new ones have. As I was driving across the lot in the 6.4 both turbo lit and I was like dang this will be strong. Come to find out that is all it had, the turbos came on quick but I was very disappointed. The Cummins was a complete dog. Yesterday I ported my mouthpiece and intake box and the turbo on my LLY now comes on alot stronger than before in the midrange. Of all the trucks I drove I prefer the Duramax. When I drove them I was trying to be as open minded as possible but the Duramax for me was the best one to DD and tow with IMO.
