just wait till the new gen cummins is released and the 6.7 scorpion for Ford... the dmax is gonna be the paperweight of the group.... GM is gonna have to step up there game and at some point offer the solid front axle too
They have all went through it before. None of the big 3 will ever fall behind the others. I have spoken Cummins engineers, and they wont go leaps and bounds above the rest in hp. That requires them to worry about other components.
GM is gonna have to step up there game? it would be much easier to throw a solid axle under it and with all the problems I had with my Dodge frontend I'll stick with the IFS, it could beefed up a lot more though
paperweight? nothing wrong with my 6.6, especially if they redesign it like the 4.5

I have spoken with many people on the infamous big 3 discussion. This info was from roughly 2006.
I spoke with a Cummins engineer about the 3 major contenders in the diesel market. He gave me some interesting facts on all 3. This one really stuck with me.
Out of 100 trucks, the claims for warranty work was Cummins around 10 claims, Duramax around 12, and the Powerstroke right around 20-24.
Then he stated that the Duramax numbers were quickly dropping to be at par with the Cummins.
Keep in mind this was 06. This was before the 6.7, and 6.4, and LMM.
If you look at vehicle percentages (Diesel Trucks) that had to be purchased back from the Dodge/GM or Ford you will see much the same numbers. The fewest trucks returned back due to the Lemon Law were Dodge, followed closely by GM. Most of the trucks returned (Over 80 %) were the 6.0 Power Strokes. I expect much better results from the new Ford Diesels...The 6.0 was a major problem for Ford, which cost them close to a billion dollars in warranty problems...

Out of a 100 trucks, that is how many came back in for work. They only kept records of the trucks requiring service.
The Cummins engineer, told me you would most likely see the Duramax surpass the Cummins. I have not talked to that guy in a long time, but I have better sources now.
the dodge front end issues was easily fixed with one modification.... Dynatrac Free-spin kit.... and i have never seen a ford front end problem.... how are your IFS wheel bearings doing? those love to blow out far more often than any solid axle issues... IFS isnt meant to be on a heavy duty truck... look at semi trucks, look at tractors, look at the kodiak/topkick... its fine for a half ton, but anything more needs strength.... we r\are back to more issues that people love to overlook.... so back to my original arguement... BASH THE IMPORT FAWKERS
the original argument was that 6.0s suck then you came on telling everyone not to bash domestics then you proceeded to bash domestics
wheel bearings are no big deal and a free spin kit has no thing to do with all the parts connected to the Dodge axle that were blown out, the Dodge frontend couldnt handle the curvey roads out here
I'm not in the business of lieing to people so they buy American
