the lbz never had any problems with overheating or injectors, doesnt matter what truck you get the tranny will need attention after a while with power adders, as for shifting, nothing and i mean nothing can shift like an allison nothing keeps the power where its supposed to be like a allison. ive went next to my buddys 6.4 60 mph with cruise on and the allison stays in the gear while the stupid 6.4 has to downshift so trash your own truck if you want but the duramaxes deff. have the least of problems

Okay, I see the point, but here is the problem and why it is still wrong to buy foreign. We still have 3 companies in this great nation that produce vehicles where that $2400 per vehicle could stay instead of leaving. You have the CHOICE to buy american when you buy a vehicle. You DON"T HAVE A CHOICE when you buy clothes and electronics ("few if any electronics and 97% of clothes made out of US").

My point is that if we don't support the US automakers, sooner or later we will end up with the auto industry like the electronics and clothing industry - NO AMERICAN CHOICE.

SO, get a freakin clue and support the US where you can, or there won't be anything to support in the future.

both have a point but bear this in mind too... that is profit based on costs.... do you know that there is more behind the scenes there? how about toyota financial when you finance the vehicle? how about Bank of tokyo which is owned by Toyota... how about the fact that they are factoring the cost of buying the materials to build the truck when in fact those materials are manufactured in japan by companies owned by toyota... there is way more profit that $2400 in each vehicle, but due to propaganda like that people think it is OK... and $2400 doesnt sound like a lot but add it up from all the vehicles sold to people with no pride or patirotism and if you take 1/3 of that it probably would have kept GM from bancruptcy... 1/3 would have bailed out chrysler corp and they would be good... and 1/3 to ford motor company would make good profits for them too.... you need to see the large picture here... not just the small picture... by believing what you read and not seeing that it is swayed to look one way by withholding pertinent information, you are acting like the puppets that elected the douchebag in office....

This is a pretty funny story, the same thing happened to me one day. My wife is a Ford fan, but I don't like them at all. But anyways we were driving down the road one day and she was argueing with me why I wouldn't buy a Powerstroke, and I told her they were just junk.

Sure enough about 1/2 mile up the road I see this newer Powerstroke pulling a 30 ft toy hauler and its smoking, white smoke, going up this really small hill. I turn to her and tell her watch, that truck won't move. Sure enough the light turns green and the truck just pours out white smoke and doesn't move an inch. We drove for about 15 minutes and came back that way, there was a tow truck loading the toy hauler up to move it and moving the truck.

I'm pretty sure I won that arguement
