I picked up my buddy to go squirrel hunting, I see this F-250 in the right lane (4 lane + turn) so I punch it thinking I'll show him what's up. I get over for my next turn, and he passes, before making the same turn. We go through town and end up on the same long straight road. I'm right behind him and I start seeing a little smoke, I tell my buddy "shit, he's chipped."
We get to the straightaway, he passes the 55mph sign, and nails it. When I saw the smoke coming I hoped on it. I stayed right with him running a stock Lb7 / 5 speed, and 285's
I'm pretty proud of ol' green, and can't wait for my EFI tune.

The 6.4 was not on it . A tuned 6.4 will walk away from a stock LB7 or any stock truck for that matter.
first off to the op congrats on the kill!
it all depends on the tuning he was running on that 6.4,if it was some off the wall tuner that has ZERO tranny tuning i can believe it but we both know he wasnt running SCT or Spartan tuning

Just cause a 6.4 is tuned doesnt mean its fast, could be 50HP tune or just could be a DPF delete system, so dont call people a liar if you didnt witness it, its just annoying. My friends dads6.4 has DPF delete and a SCT tune and my buddys STOCK(with intake) 6.7 kept up to it pretty well. We just straight piped the 6.7 last night, and what a bitch without proper tools, to get the stock downpipe off you either have to cut it or drop the transmission brace, so we decided to cut it but we only had 1 saws all blade and it got dull and the stores were closed so i cut 1/2 the pipe with a hack saw blade by HAND!! hahah Keep on roastin the fords!!

My intentions were not to call him a liar so if it sounded that way to the original thread starter, i apoligize but as for your comment:
Dont need to witness it. Facts are facts. As the post above yours eluded to...it was not spartan or sct tuneing because the 6.4 with either of those tunes will WALK any stock truck. With a good SCT or Spartan tune, it will walk my can-tuned LMM.
The 6.4 started in 07 i beleive and runs through the 2010 truck before they change to the 6.7 if im not mistaken.

Point proven, although my friends 6.4 must be a bad apple then cause its got dpf with a sct tune(not a hot one im assuming) and from a stop he only keeps a truck length on my friends stock 6.7 cummins till they let off. And no the 6.4 started in 08, the new 6.7 scorpion sounds decent, apparently it gets realllly good mileage
