Corvette killer

I was on I-75 headed home tonight when I come up on a black late 90's model corvette. Good looking car that had been taken care of for sure. Well I pass him just running about 75 mph minding my own business, but at the same time watching to see if he would try to jump on me. My stack draws a lot of attention lol. Well about 30 seconds after I pass him, he swings it out in the right hand lane (3 lanes) and flies up on me. Well when he slows down next to me and we are running side by side I kicked it. Truck didn't down shift, but with the converter locked I slowly pulled on him to 95 mph from 75 mph. Well, he wanted some more. Same scenario. Converter locked at 75 mph, no downshift and I pulled on him to about 95 mph. So we head on up the interstate about 2 miles and hit this wide open 2 mile long straight away. This time I slowed down to around 60-65 mph so the truck would downshift. He jumped me and had me until we hit 70 mph. From there it was over. I pulled on him all the way to 105 mph. He came by me once we slowed down and gave me a thumbs up....made me feel pretty good.

Sounds good. I have never raced a Corvette. Only wimpy little ricer's and a few low horsepower diesels that only knew how to smoke like crazy. I did race an early 24 valve truck putting down about 525 hp at the drag strip, but he was 2wd and couldnt keep traction.

Sweet. I want to shed more weight off of my truck and add traction bars. I think with the spare tire off, tail gate off, running boards off, and traction bars, I can get down to a 12.7-12.8. I need to get my 60's down and get the boost just right off the line. 17-18 psi seems to be the sweet spot

Jeffrey-

First off, dont take this the wrong way.. but why do you spend so much time on this forum talking about how "bad" your Ford is? I mean, this is a Duramax forum, where there are more all die-hard Chevy/GMC fans, and I think you kind of stand out here.

Like I said, don't get me wrong, I like reading about the Fords too, as we sell stuff for all trucks.

But I just wonder why you spend so much time on here, as compared to Powerstroke.org, ect.

Do you have secret love for Chevys?
