Well, I finally got to race my boss/friend's 6.0 Powerstroke on the way home tonight. First off, let me start with the mods on both:
Mine: bone stock.
His: MBRP 5" turbo back, cold air intake (don't know what kind - doesn't matter), and Edge Juice with Attitude.
I was driving down the highway and he caught up beside me. I didn't think that he was gonna go at first, so I just went back to sort of zoning out, driving about 60mph. At about that point, I hear him stand on it. By the time I could react, my front bumper was around his rear tire (he has a crew cab 4 door). I surprised myself by catching up and managing to pass a little before we got off the throttle.
I have no idea what level he had the Juice set, or if he even had it on for that run. I knew round two was coming. He lined back up beside me, but this time I was ready. I heard him stand on it, and so did I. I knew right away that he had it on the Hot level because he pulled away like I stood on the brakes.
Even though I won then lost, I still am a very happy person. I could beat him the first time with me being stock, even if he did have the Edge off. Secondly, I just keep waiting for him to lift the heads off the Powerstroke because I can just sit back and laugh at him.
