Powerstroke kill!!

I was coming home tonight and had a 03-04 Powerstroke pull up along side me. We were in a left hand double turn lane. As we went through the turn I waited to see if he was going to punch it. Sure enough as we got straight he punched it. He had about a 1/2 truck length on me when he hit it. I punched mine and caught him and then pulled him once I hit third I was gone! He had stock exhaust, but I think he had a chip since he was blowin some thick smoke. Another kill for the mighty D-max. Of course my wife who was ridin with me was totally oblivious to it.

I drive both a '06 Sierra 2500 and a '06 F-350 SRW. I've driven them both in stock form (meaning no motor mods). The Sierra has stock tires while the F-350 has a Banks exhaust and a 9 inch lift with 38's. I am not bias at all but it just seems like the Duramax would kill the Powerstroke any day. Alot of it is probably the tires. Gotta admit the sound of the Powerstroke sounds so much meaner.

Thanks for the replies guys, I was super excited. There is an 06' Megacab Dodge drivin around town that's next on my list. I almost got to run him awhile ago but it was five'o'clock traffic and didn't want risk smashin somebody on their way home.

Actually the D-Max really isn't that slow in stock form..... You have some bigger tires on your truck which might make it feel slow...but it shouldn't be. If you race a Ford or Dodge stock to stock, you shouldn't have a problem winning....
