I am wanting to put a 6 inch lift on my truck and was wondering which are the best ones. I 've checked out alot of them and my picks so far would be pro comp, fabtech, cst, trailmaster, and possibly superlift. I also need one that i don't have to cut anything on my truck if there is such a one. Please give me your opinions.

fabtech is awesome, alot of them involve cuting the rear front diff bracket , unless u go bigger i think .. dont quote me on that . all i know is it took me 5.5hrs to put my lift on by my self with a hoist

I had a 6in Trailmaster on my 94 GMC, never had a problem with it, great suspension, a company installed it for me, and i believe they had to cut on the front end.

You will have to do alot of cutting with a pro-comp. If you you ever need to return to stock the pro comp will not give you the option.

All the IFS lifts must cut atleast one mount off your frame to clear the diff.
These 2 kits are whats called UCA drop style kits and will demand the most cutting and harder to return to stock.
-Pro Comp
-CST
These kits are "Spindle" kits. The retain the fatory UCA position and has less cutting. Spindle kits are also nice for the fact that they increase the spindle ball joint span over stock and since you are installing larger tires this helps reduce ball joint wear because of less levearage.
-Fabtech
-Trailmaster
-Superlift
Now out of spindle style kits on the market I really like the Cognito Motorsports HD lifts for the reason they are only CHevy/GM lift mfg. They have the most upgrades on the market that will fix all the common wear problems. Today it's not the lift foundation that have problems it is the other factory components that can't take the stress of the larger tires and Cognito either self projects less stress with the lift or has a upgrade to change a weak OEM point to a stronger product.
Thats all good to hear now i just need find someone close by that sells them.also wondering how bad did it affect the fuel mileage? Hopefully no more than 2mpg under normal driving.and how much did your rims cost blackdeath?

Not sure if you will find a local shop that sells Cognito. It is one of those brands that work great but alot of shops don't sell because it's easier to just sell the cheaper kits and compete with other shops in the area for the sale. Look on the Internet/google and you will need to have the kit shipped to you and have someone install it or do it yourself. In the end the extra effort will be more than worth it. There are alot of GM/Chevy guys on dieselplace.com that live in Canada and running these kits.
Best of luck and let us know if you need more info or help.
