OK, Yes you can use the UCA with the 4". At time of upgrading the package it would be best to get with the place you are ordering from to go over your options and see what you will need new since everything can be different in the options used in the first package for the UCA leveling kit. But yes some parts can be re-used.

I would give a DIYer about 4.5-6 hours to do the install.

Nick-
Great write up. The Cognito Stage 3 kit is on my wish list & I've been looking at your website.
Will the Cognito Dual Shock Hoop kit work w/ Cognito Leveling UCA Kit, even though it's not a tall lift?
Does the Dual Shock kit ride any better than the single Bilstein, are the benefits enough to justify the cost?
Is the Cognito Uni-ball UCA work as a Leveling Kit & is it worth the extra $$$?
Thanks

Yes you can add Cognito's Dual shock hoop with either Bilstein's or Fox's. Since there lift kits are designed around a "spindle style" lift the UCA stays in the factory position so it is the same as if you are just doing the leveling package.

Does the Dual Shock kit ride any better than the single Bilstein, are the benefits enough to justify the cost?

To be 100% with you we have built trucks that ride killer with a single shock. Until you get into a really large (37"+) tire I don't see it necessary to do duals. But if you really want the look or demand the performance of a dual shock set up we provide the proper valving and shocks to be able to maintain a nice ride. So really it comes down to what you want and we can make it work either way really nice.

Is the Cognito Uni-ball UCA work as a Leveling Kit & is it worth the extra $$$?

Yes it can be used as a leveling kit as well. Is it worth the extra money? NO. If you are just looking to level your truck you are plenty fine with the "Ball Joint" style and I recommend that as well due to the sealed design so you know no harsh daily driving debree will wear out the ball joint. UNI balls are open to the weather and can wear fast. They are strong to get you threw the "Race" but do need service or a new set changed before the next "Race"

Thanks

You will be very happy with the stage 3 and you can at anytime upgrade if you need more

so the leveling kits realy arent safe to run even according to people who work at nor-cal,ok I dont mean dangerous just that they do create bad angles on the cv,whats the answer to getting a bigger tire I ask??cranking is hard on our trucks..right???so the answer must be a 4'' lift, the problem withe cognito for us poor canadains,is #1 cognito pushed the price up#2 our exchange rate,my firend in vancoiuver bought the lift and part#100401 was 1565 canadain from a dealer in alberta, now that same part costs 2300 plus 5% tax and shipping, then you need shcoks blocks for the back and thats not even including the uca package, might be better off to go with a tuff country dealer

....No

Rather,
The idea is to not push the "green zone". Stay with in the green and not use the truck in sled pulling and/or 4wd boost drag racing and you are good. Leveling your truck to fit larger tires is very common BUT also a very "vague" term said that alot of people do this mod and never recognize the down fall to to much "Cranking". This post is to,
1. Help you see the common issue's and how it all works.
2. To offer after market product that can help and/or solve the pron problems.

We have installed and sold a ton of Cognito leveling kits, if used in the "Green" they are great. If you need more than what the kit offers and you use your truck in ways that is more than what the factory front IFS can handle then you should look at a true lift.

You're moving the front of the truck up so you're losing suspension travel. isnt that what leveling will do??
