Cognito Stage 5 Handling Reviews

Hey All-

Ive been searching for hours on some actual reviews on the Cognito Stage 5 leveling kit. Having a tough time finding reviews on how it handles.

This truck is my daily driver mostly in town. In the winter I tow an enclosed snowmobile trailer. I absolutely love the way this truck handles that trailer up and down grades and on the windy roads. I really don't want to lose that.

I do go offroad semi-frequently also.

I want something to lift the truck just a little bit, but I really want to retain how the truck handles. It would be nice to have a little softer ride also. Without the trailer on, it seems a little rough on the freeway.

Does the Cognito stage 5 with the bilsteins retain the way the Truck handles?

Does it help give a little softer ride?

This would be seen better in the suspension section for others to chime in on.

I'll see if I can get it moved for you.

I can't comment on a 2011+ chassis model, but I had the Stage 5 on my 08 and was very dissapointed. The truck wandered and felt loose after the install. The ride was much worse than stock. After spending almost $2000 in parts and labor I wish I had just done a real lift. It actually ruined the truck for me, so much so, that I traded it in for my 2011.

I have it on my 08 goin on 3 years. I have had no issues. I just added the sulastics and switched out Bilstein 5100's with the new Fox 2.0 from Norcal (By the way thanks Nick) and it made it even better. I have about 1500 miles since the new shocks and sulatics with no issues at all. From your post it looks like we have pretty similar driving styles. I would recomend it.

Had the kit on a 2012 3500 HD and with the Fox shocks on the front and Bilstiens on the rear it was as good or better than stock.
No problems with steering or anything.
Changed to a Rancho 4 inch and it is a stiffer ride than the leveling kit. I have Fox shocks on Rancho also.
Hope that helps.
