Go to the auto parts chain store and rent the Ball joint loner tool. Then find what adapter fits, and press them out. They are in there pretty good, I had to put a cheater pipe on my breaker bar but they will come. Oh you will need a 36mm socket to remove the axle nut and pull the front CV's out before you can get to the lower ball joint. One little hint is to take all the brake hardware off even the rotor as that is a lot of weight when you pop the joint off.

Thanks,
so far its not bad. not hard just unbolting it and rebolting it back really. but i did find out i need a 9/16 drill bit harbor frieght tools helped there. paid less than $40 with tax got kit with 9/16 to 1" drill bit kit. about 8 in the kit. i would get that too. you willl need a 9/16 drill bit though. i did the paasenger side in like 2 hours. but need to do the lower ball joint its bad. the kit comes with everything bushings and bolt really everything. but i would do the lower sence you have it apart, not needed but just in case.

well i got them done. but the loner tool you get from part store got bent. so i had to reemove the lower arms both sides and heat them up and hit them with a hammer. they came out just fine. talked to a steel guy and told me to cool the arm down fast with cold water so you wopnt loose the heated steel. well total it was about 8 hours total with the lowers too cleaned and painted the frame and all parts to make it look good and hopes it wont rust there. truck looks really good now. i have now a 3" lift and woork great i got the billstien shock too did not need shock adapters. if you do use the stock shocks you will need the shock adapter or just pay the money for the bill stien shock there about $80.00 each or go to ebay and get them there paid $610 w/ bill stien shock 5100 plus free shipping. Plus i didnt not have to use the 9/16 drill bit just check the top of the spindle and see if a 9/16 drill bit falls thourgh the hole just the upper ball joint the lower uses the same stock ball joint. if need help contact me i can guide you thourgh it.
