As you can see, this is just a "Leveling" kit for now at 3", pics show no drop brackets installed. Hopefully, they are able to incorporate a lift with this down the road:
This isn't the first time I've seen it done, but it may be the first time its available in a mass produced form that we can all benefit from. Here's a pic of a lifted '15 with coil overs, peak in the front fender, and notice no bracket hanging under the truck (which would be required for this much lift), and also notice the drop brackets under the front end, appears to be CST. Some sort of hybrid:
I'm interested...I'd be down if they would do a major lift size with it, but I would also be worried on how bad the price tag is going to be. Hopefully they mention something about a lift before I slap down the money for another 12" Cognito, so I can weigh my options.
Honestly, I don't think that's going to happen. This is going to be for a niche market, and the regular torsion bar lifts will remain in place for the cost conscience folks. Anytime you start getting into coil over, ESP one that has Fox's name on it and adjustability with remotes, your looking at $$$$. Add to that the cost of a fabricated LCA and your even higher. If your worried about $$$, this is not for you, stick with the torsion bars. The 3" system you see pictured above (no lift, just 3" level, will probably fall into the $2-3K range).
Those kits are in a different category than the BDS. They're custom built to order, they're long travel, they require fiberglass fenders because they push the track width out a whopping 6"....not for the masses.
The BDS however looks like it might fit the "Regular" hey lets level my truck market with a higher price tag. No more cranked T-Bars to level the ride and hard ride, which every leveling kit out there including the ones in the $2k range do.
I've been following the hype behind on this in instagram. Something I'm REALLY interested in when they release them. Price wise i still think they'll be upwards of 3k maybe even 4k. There coilovers alone for the 1/2 tons are 1800 bucks
Id love to have the 3" leveling coil overs, I think Id save for them if they were right around 2K. Plus they look sexy as hell lol! Plus will they have them for earlier models like mine.
My assumption... $4000-$5000. Coilovers alone are pricey. I had icon make me custom 16" 2.5 Coilovers... Could've bought a standard 6" for the same price.
